We took a small team (Tony, Zhen, Alecia) and traveled to Mombasa, Kenya for two weeks. Our mission there was to share the gospel of Jesus Christ to as many people as we can, to learn as much as we can from the local ministers, and to teach pastors and leaders about certain aspects of ministry. We partnered with Trinity Chapel Mombasa and all their wonderful staff to achieve all this. Pastor Tobbias organized with other local pastors, mobilized his staff, and invited us to come alongside him for all this ministry. His team is doing the follow-up now that we are back to our home countries. This video only shows a small glimpse of all that happened on our trip. God did an amazing work while we were there. Tony and Esther went to Jamaica for a 10 day ministry trip, partnering with Jamaican Chinese Christian Church. The main focus was on the English congregation, with a special emphasis on the teenagers and young adults. Esther sang "Because He Lives" in 3 languages here, the 3 heart languages of the people. Tony Chuang and Esther Shin Chuang visited 10 churches, colleges, and schools in Haiti in late 2013. They shared the Word of God, their testimonies, music, and preached revival. Husband and wife, Tony Chuang (tcfish.blogspot.com) and Esther Shin (www.EstherShin.com, Facebook.com/pianistesthershin), visited the Holy Trinity Music School in Haiti in 2013 to encourage the children with words and music. It was exciting to meet so many children learning, loving, and appreciating classical music. They were eager to play and sing for us. Esther Shin shared with them her story and a mini concert of classical music, hymns (like the one in this video) and Christmas music. Tony Chuang encouraged the kids, telling them to keep practicing hard and to worship God with music. He said, "When we see a pianist play, we don't say, 'wow, what a great piano,' but instead, 'wow, what a great pianist.' So when we live for God and make music, let others not see us (the instrument), but let them see God (the musician and orchestrator of our lives). That is what it means to be God's instrument." There were so many students who wanted to learn music in Haiti, but they said there are not enough people to teach them. There were schools that had instruments (by donation) but no teachers, so there are brass and wind instruments that has been just sitting in the closet for few years now. There is a need in Haiti for more music teachers. There is a need for more musicians and music teachers around the world.
